Best of 2018

Am I the only one who thinks that this month has flown by? This has been the fastest January ever and there is only a little over a week left. Craziness.

When I opened up my laptop, I am not going to lie, I had no idea what to write about. With the new podcast, my creativity (content wise) has been running a little low. I started thinking about all the events and exciting things that will happen in my life in 2019 and wanted to share some of the best moments of my 2018, before it is too late.

Because 2018 was an awesome year for me. So many amazing moments but also more change than I have ever gone through. I have grown so much this year and it would be a shame not to reflect on all of that.

Personal life//

To start off, this category definitely changed the most. I finished my junior year of high school and started my senior year! Throughout that time period, I moved 14 hours away and started a new school. It’s a long story that I will talk about on a podcast soon, but let’s just say that I learned a lot and experienced so much change. In 2018, I gained new friendships and relationships and have realized that I am honored to be friends with some of the very best people in the world and get to spend every day with some amazing people in my new school.

I read more books this past year than I have in any year before, I watched more movies, listened to more music, and challenged my creativity to the max. I started working out more (preseason is real people) and accomplished more in the past track season than I ever thought I could. I decided on a college for next year and completely changed what I am planning on majoring in.

I cried a lot this past year, but I also smiled more and laughed more than I ever have. In all honesty, I’d say I lived more in 2018. I took more chances and made hard decisions to keep going and keep growing and it totally paid off.

Spiritual Life//

Over the course of 2018, I had a lot of ups and downs. I challenged myself to reach more people, do more things, and allow myself to grow closer to the Lord. I found some of my most favorite passages and allowed the Lord to have control over areas in my life that I was hesitant to give to him. I had to lean on the Lord through some of the hardest decisions of my life. And then, three months later I had to make another tough decision.

The Lord delivered me through so much and I will always look back on 2018 as my year of reliance and growth. The Lord and I have gone through a lot together and each day I fund myself growing closer and closer to his presence and to his will for my life.

Blog Life//

I really branched out in this category! Over the summer I started blogging twice a week and loved it! I started taking my own blog pictures and was able to interact with so many more of you on the blog and other social media platforms.

I wrote a book, published some of my favorite posts, and started a PODCAST! I went through weeks filled with inspiration and also stared blankly at my screen for hours. I made it onto the list of the top Christian blogs on the internet and was able to reach more people this year than ever before.

It has been a wonderful year and I am excited for what 2019 has to offer. So much hope and so much change is ahead. I am happy to say that 2018 taught me to not fear change but rather see it as one of my greatest allies.

XOXO, The Christian Prepster
