Working Off That Pumpkin Spice

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I love the weather and the tase of the holidays. But something about this season always takes any ounce of motivation I once had and blows it away.

If I had my way, I would just sit on the couch and eat pumpkin things. Which isn’t bad… but after a few weeks, I start looking like a pumpkin (maybe that’s a little extreme but I sure feel like it.)

As I write this, I can’t remember the last time  I did a full out workout but I’m getting there. You have to have grace for yourself. Especially when it’s fall.

Now, I don’t know if you guys even like my workout posts, but they hold me accountable. Because If I’m encouraging you guys to get movin’ and I’m laying around for hours… I feel terrible and like a huge hypocrite. So if anything, these posts are for me.

So this week, I will work off that pumpkin spice. I’m going to make it a priority to get up and active. Because it’s truly a blessing to be able to workout and to have the ability to better the gift God has given me.

I have also found correlations between the discipline of working out and our relationship with Christ. They both better us, they both can be challenging at times, and if we put in the work now… we’ll be prepared for the obstacles ahead.

So if your laking motivation like I am, think of it as a way of improving on, and building up a gift we’ve received from God. Because it truly is.

And like I said before, it is all about grace. We never want to beat ourselves up about not working out or not being the best. That’s not what it’s about. Exercising one of God’s gifts is a blessing and not something to use as fuel into our low self-esteem.

I hope this gives you a little bit of motivation! Happy Fall 😀

XOXO, The Christian Prepster
