Who else is ready for Spring Break? It’s like a finish line. I am running, face sweaty, feet losing feeling, breath slowly dying, and each step I take brings me closer to the finish line.
If you have ever done track, the feeling of finishing a race is magnificent. No matter the distance, the finish line always acts as a relief. The last ten steps of any race are the hardest. In life, I’m nearing those steps. The last few days before our break. The last few breaths before I can breathe easy.
In these times, I lean on God to finish the race for me. The past few days have been so stressful. However, God has got my day in his hands. This morning I watched this great video and preceded to meditate on these verses.
Psalm 23 (NIV)A psalm of David.1The Lordis my shepherd, I lack nothing.2He makes me lie down in green pastures,he leads me beside quiet waters,3he refreshes my soul.He guides me along the right pathsfor his name’s sake.4Even though I walkthrough the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me;your rod and your staff, they comfort me.5You prepare a table before mein the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil;my cup overflows.6Surely your goodness and love will follow meall the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lordforever.
