Saturday night I went to the movies with my parents and we saw the movie War Room. War Room has a great message about the power of prayer and got me up to date on my prayer life. The clip linked in the picture is my favorite one from the movie.
At first watch, I thought, “what a great way to get her point across!” I watched it a few more times and began to ask myself, “am I hot or cold?”. After contemplation, I have come to the conclusion that I need some work!
We have all heard that prayer is powerful. Powerful enough to heal, renew, bless, and save. We all need to use this powerful weapon to navigate through our crazy lives.
We all need to fall onto our knees and cry out to the one true God before it’s too late. We need to study his word and meditate on his promises in our War Rooms.
You can’t win without a [prayer] strategy. How will survive without prayer? Spoiler alert, we won’t! We have been called to pray without stopping.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
What would it look life if we obeyed this? Would the problems that face our world still exist? Would the troubles in our schools and work offices be a big deal? I challenge you to find out. Spend the days between now and Wednesday to be dedicated to prayer and the search for God’s promises. I can guarantee a renewed heart, soul, and mind!
